At Volvo Cars, we have an Agile Organization where we develop our product features and functions continuously in Product Streams with a complete lifecycle responsibility. The three Product Streams within the unit Vehicle Software&Electronics are:
* In-Car Digital - Infotainment, Digital User Experience, Connectivity
* Base Software - Electrical and Electronics Systems
* Autonomous Drive - Active Safety and autonomous drive functions
Problem Analyst for electrical areas - Active safety, Chassis and SRS
Main Responsibilities of the Department
Active Safety is an area where Volvo, through continuous launching of new, innovative and world first safety features, has positioned itself among the leaders of the automotive industry. Now the work continues to reach our ambitious vision that by 2020 no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo. Within the department, we develop systems such as Collision Avoidance, Autonomous Drive, Automatic Parking, Driver Support and Protective Safety. Given the challenges and complexity within the Active Safety area, we will now strengthen our team with a Problem Analyst.
Our group Chassis Electronics Analysis & Verification 94416, is a part of Volvo Car Group Active Safety department. We are responsible for analysis and verification and Quality Analysation of Volvo Cars chassis related ECU:s and software's. As a Problem analyst (PA) you will work in close collaboration with the two Problem Analysts in Active Safety and Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS), Analysis and Verification group.
As a PA you work very independently understanding customer complaints and solving it together with design-, testgroups and suppliers! You sometimes even travel to different customer cars to test drive and dig into the car to basically finding out what 's wrong. You will identify and prioritize quality issues through structured data collection and vehicle analysis and fault tracing in complete vehicle and on test benchs. The main focus is to actively lead and act in the phases; Define, Measure, Analyse and work with quality assurance within function areas in active safety, SRS and vehicle dynamics.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone that has Customer Satisfaction as their highest priority. With the ability to act independently and taking initiatives you easily take on your area of responsibility. You are very analytical and structured in the way you work, and documention and reporting are done equally well along with your overall good communication skills. You will work closely with others in a team, so your ability to work well in those surroundings is a given.
Requirements:
University degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics or Physics
Green Belt Certified
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
B-driving license
Meritorious Experiences:
Good knowledge of quality analysis methods/tools
Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
Volvo Cars product development & Running Change Processes
Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and applicable tools, such as DSA, CANoe CANalyzer and CANApe

Location for this position is within Gothenburg, Sweden from where we expect you are able to work with adequate working permits. Working proficiency in the English language, speech and writing, is a requirement. Combined with the same skills in the Swedish language is considered a merit.
