Drug Safety Metabolism and Respiratory & Inflammation

Immunomodulatory drugs confer altered host defence immune responses in the diseased lung

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Drug Safety Metabolism and Respiratory & Inflammation it?s essential that you have:
A PhD in Biological Science, with a good understanding in immune cell biology
A proven record of work published in reputable scientific journals
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams
The confidence to speak up and influence your colleagues to drive improvement
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
The ability to set up in vitro and in vivo studies involving respiratory viruses and bacteria
An understanding of immunoassays, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology techniques
Experience in handling and culturing of human tissue derived primary cells
Confocal imaging and data analysis expertise
As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Drug Safety Metabolism and Respiratory & Inflammation you will:
Utilise human and murine lung tissue slices to identify signalling pathways regulating host pathogen interactions
Identify the effects of immunomodulatory mechanisms on these pathways
Define the results of immunomodulatory agents on signalling regulating anti-microbial responses
Translate in vitro observations into a humanised mouse model....
