Description

We secure an optimised and fully integrated package solution for customers of Tetra Pak by offering our food-safe, cost-driven, environmentally sound, complete portfolio of Additional Material products. Additional Material complements the Packaging Material to shape a complete Tetra Pak package.
Within Additional Materials, the new Tetra Pak Closures organisation are today supplying 34 bio plastic caps, produced by more than 200 production lines located in 4 Tetra Pak plants and another 15 external plants.
You will join the Tetra Pak Closures organization and drive the qualifications of existing (or alternative and new) polymers in relation to manufacturing applications of caps and polymers related products, by providing technical skills, analysis and knowledge in polymers and materials qualification process for Tetra Pak closures. It includes support to R&D and management of selected suppliers for polymer based products. In this position you are reporting to the Manager, Industrialization & Sourcing - Closures and you will be member of the Industrialization & Sourcing Team.
Location is in Lund, Sweden. The position requires approx. 25% of travelling time.
Main responsibilities
• Develop and establish the qualification process for existing and new polymers, with reference to manufacturing applications for caps or other polymer based products;
• Plan, organize and lead polymer process qualification projects and activities;
• Initiate improvements projects related to Quality & Safety, Innovation & Environment and cost savings, in relation to caps and other polymer based products;
• Support Product Development to identify and qualify correct polymer, or polymer solutions, applications.
• Act as Product Owner for specific polymer based products, specifically compounded materials and other purchased products. This will encompass to manage and cultivate relationship with selected suppliers
• Drive supplier Common Agenda for selected suppliers
• Support Operations and Total Quality within Closures.
Qualifications
As a person you are pro-active, self motivated and assertive. You pursue everything with energy, drive and a need to finish. You are able to anticipate and understand a complex situation; you manage to review the implications and consequences of problems and possible solutions.
You are used to place priority and structure to work related matters and you are methodical, attentive to details and efficient. You have a clear and concise communication style.
You are comfortable in personal inter-relationship and you naturally engage in building and maintaining professional relationship.
To be a successful candidate you should have a University degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or related field. Degrees in other engineering disciplines with sufficient relevant industrial experience will also work out.
You have at least 5 years experience in polymer science, chemistry and materials science. You have experience from working with polymers and material qualification processes and some experience from working with suppliers.
A very good command of English both written and verbal is a must.
