Volvo Group Trucks Technology - Powertrain Engineering is the global, strategic center for powertrain development within the Volvo Group. The scope covers complete powertrain systems, components such as engines, transmissions, driven axles and design of powertrain solutions for the future such as hybrid drivelines and engines for alternative fuels with strong contribution in reducing the CO2 emissions in our society.
Electrical vehicle development is moving rapidly and is creating exiting challenges for us within Charging Systems and for this we are searching for a System Chief Engineer for our department. To meet these challenges we have very high focus on developing new charging systems and verifying it in the most efficient way. Customer requirements for high quality vehicles must be met or hopefully even exceeded with our new electric products. To ensure that this is possible we need to be leading in the area of charging.
Job Description
The work is performed in an international environment together with your future colleagues around the globe. As a system chief engineer you will focus on charging system design and architecture in the functional as well as in the physical dimension. The work will be performed in cooperation with colleagues within the charging team at electromoblity. It is also important to create network externally and with internal stakeholders in Volvo group.
The electromobility area is under strong development and we are looking for a system chief engineer that is technology driven, comfortable leading others, customer oriented, supportive and a good coach.

Who are you?
We believe that you like results by using previous experience from being a technical leader in any form perhaps owning technology roadmaps and it's merit that you have several years of experience from development of charging systems. Preferable you also have experience from a work environment were agile and lean principles are applied in a practical way in daily work. You love networking and you contribute to create a high performing working culture with your energy.
You have experience from systems engineering methodologies with the aim to build quality & reliability into our products. You are a M.Sc. level or similar.
