We are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.
We stand in front of significant challenges - where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest - and are now adapting to take this on by simplifying and empowering our organization and way of working. The Exhaust aftertreatment system (EATS) department is responsible for the global platform development of exhaust aftertreatment systems for Volvo Group's different product around the world. We are about 80 passionated and highly skilled engineers on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of global transportation. Together with our colleagues around the world we take full system responsibility.
Responsibilities / Main tasks
The team is responsible for all main hardware components included in the EATS system except catalysts and filters. This includes the muffler, the Urea dosing system and various sensors that are used in the emission control system. It is a global responsibility and is carried out in close cooperation with the other EATS teams around the world. Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset are key competences to secure that the global needs are addressed in the system design and requirement balancing.
As manager for this team you will also be responsible for the cross-functional alignment around the components in close cooperation with Purchasing, Operations and Aftermarket. You will work with current and potential future suppliers to secure competitive components of high quality. Having a holistic view and a strategic mindset helps you to succeed in this area.
