You will work with a wide array of tasks directed to protecting and utilizing Ericsson's inventions in support of Ericsson's business. This will involve working in close cooperation with the R&D organization and the strategic departments of the IP organization.
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
Capturing inventions and handling the life cycle of your own patent portfolio with a mix of tasks performed by you and outside counsel..
Providing advice on validity, relevance and scope of both Ericsson and third-party patents.
Ensuring that R&D, Commercial and Legal management functions are fully aware of the significance of patent matters in their own areas of responsibility.
Managing patent portfolios of particular technologies or products.
Investigating and supporting licensing and sales opportunities for Ericsson's patents.
supporting litigation.
As a person you have a good analytical and communication skills and an ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and to drive projects. Your written and spoken English should be excellent. You are Self-motivated and has a strong drive to accomplish tasks and be a world-class patent professional.
You are preferably certified as European Patent Attorney, but applicants with comparative working experience within IP or with certification from other jurisdictions will also be considered. Finally, you hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field such as electronic engineering, applied physics, computer science, and ICT. Technical experience relevant for ICT is a plus but not a requirement.
