Parts Engineer
The department is the start of the aftermarket of Volvo CE and responsible for the development of the spare part offering for all Volvo CE products.
We create new spare parts and maintain the existing assortment for all new product development projects. This means to participate in machine and component projects and adjust the offering according to changes done by the engineering department or suppliers.
The Parts Engineering department is looking for an engaged and passionate Parts Engineer which will create a technical and commercial selection of spare parts.
Except excellent technical skills, your power of initiative should be high with an ability to plan and perform your work independently.
Your role will be to decide and update the spare parts that Volvo CE will offer for our machines. We work close with other departments globally to support our customers. Therefore a high ability and willingness to communicate with your internal customers and external suppliers is necessary in this role. Occasional traveling is required.
We also constantly work with improving processes and output of our department and you will be a part of improving the department 's efficiency and way of working.

Personal Characteristics:
We are working in a global environment with colleagues from different countries and cultures. This position requires an open mind and an understanding of this in projects, support requests and improvement work to be able to make progress and reach targets.
You will work in several computer systems simultaneously and you need to keep focus on the task. The work covers looking at drawings and base a decision on what you see and therefore experience in working with technical documentation and drawings is needed. As a person you are curious and question the current processes in order to be more efficient and to improve the work. You are a part of a group but will have individual responsibility within your specific area. Structure is essential since the work you do must be traceable.
Qualifications for the work:
• M.Sc or B.Sc in mechanical engineering and/or equivalent working experience
• Ability and willingness to communicate and work in a global environment
• High knowledge in written and spoken English, since the work is done in an international environment
• High ability to time plan and structure your work
• Experience from the aftermarket in the field of construction equipment is a merit
