The Arena
AstraZeneca is currently making large investments to increase our research capability in Inhaled Pharmaceuticals, in Mölndal, Sweden. We are investing in new equipment, new technologies and more people. We now aim to increase the number of people working with Product Development for Inhalation by 50%. We therefore seek people with knowledge in various skills relevant for inhaled drug delivery, such as formulation science, analytical chemistry, solid state properties, device development and biopharmaceutical sciences.
AstraZeneca Mölndal is one of AstraZeneca's three core sites for drug research, with about 2.500 employees at site. At Product Development, Sweden, a sub-division of Pharmaceutical Development, we focus on the fields of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases and on Respiratory, Inflammatory and Autoimmune Diseases. Within Product Development Inhalation we have an exciting pipeline, consisting of both new molecules and new devices. The unit currently comprises 80 people, dedicated to research and development for new inhaled drug products and we want you to be a part of growing our expertise in this area.
The Role
During device development, new machines for filling the new devices with drugs and for the assembly of the device will be developed. You will therefore be a part of a team optimizing and manufacturing new devices for inhalation of drugs. Your main focus will be on small-scale hands on filling, assembly and perform measurements on components.
Examples of key attributes for the roles are the following:
Be a part of a team developing new inhalation devices intended for clinical trials or developing processes for the manufacturing of these devices.
Hands on filling of the prototype devices with drug formulations.
Hands on assembly of the different components that the device contains.
Keep track of the plastic components that are in storage and order new ones when needed.
Constantly communicate with the rest of the project team and pharmaceutical projects to produce the correct version of the device.
Communicate with the other operators around planning of the work.
For clinical, perform filling and assembly according to GMP regulations.
Record the work in a correct manner.
Requirements
We have a few operators positions. We are looking for you who have experience from similar kind of work, preferably in life science industry and a sound knowledge of GMP regulations. The following attributes are needed for all positions:
