Within Seco Tools Purchasing department, our experienced and well-established team of 14 tactical and operational purchasers ensures the procurement of material and goods needed for production within our global network. By effective strategic purchasing, we ensure the most efficient cost, quality and reliability, and with a stable portfolio of existing suppliers, we continually work to identify possible new ways to improve the efficiency and profitably of the business.
We are now looking for an Operational Purchaser, mainly responsible for the purchasing of goods and services, to support the production entity. If you are the driven person we are looking for - we welcome you to a role conducted in a truly international environment, where you will get the opportunity to build connections throughout the globe. The location for this position is Fagersta and some business travels within Sweden is part of the position.
Key performance areas
In this position, you are responsible for analyzing information regarding delivery dates and business requirements; matching the right quality at a reasonable cost and in accordance with specifications in documentation. And as you write purchase orders, you both ensure correct documentation and that our IT systems are compliant. Managing existing suppliers is also one of your major tasks and, as we work in an international environment, you effectively build lasting networks across borders and cultures.
You ensure compliance with internal and external policies, guidelines, regulations and laws and take care of the whole administration process, from order acknowledgements to follow-up. You also handle delivery-tracking issues and, accordingly, act on deviations from order acknowledgements or purchase orders and inform affected internal customers about deviations accepted. Lastly, you update and maintain correct supplier data in relevant systems.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Economy or Logistics and at least three years' experience from working with purchasing. Knowledge of Movex is an advantage. Since we operate in a global setting, you have excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English.
