Barona is now looking for an Operations Manager to Formica in Perstorp. The employment is temporary for approximately six months. However, there is a possibility to prolong the assignment after the six-month period or you might also be recruited to a permanent employment with Formica.

About the role
This is an opportunity to take full accountability for all warehouse operations, including personnel (all administrational and Operational roles), transportation at the site, and securing service level. You will further be responsible for the delivery of actions following the annual Supply Chain Excellence audit and for optimizing productivity.
Key accountabilities for this role
Leadership
• Organize the work of teams daily
• Ensure introduction for new employees and initiate team development
• Develop targets for shift leads and managers
• Take safeguard measures when it comes to equipment-, hygiene and health risk
• Deal with disciplinary issues
Quality
• Present and develop cost-effectiveness
• Organize the implementation of products in the warehouse with the aim of optimizing productivity
• Improve and develop the transportation network
• Ensure inventory management and develop weekly KPI metrics
• Promoting Kaizan initiatives (continuously improvements) at the site
Service
• Maintain and secure high service levels and present improvement plans
• Assist and cover for Warehouse Manager
• Ensuring on-time deliveries and be the first point of contact for production delivery
• Be familiar with different systems such as purchasing systems, and other manufacturing systems (eg. LX) and/or SCE
Qualifications/Profile
To be considered for this role you must speak fluent Swedish and English. We are looking for an Operations Manager who thrive in changing environments and have a future focused mind set, always looking for opportunities and bringing fresh ideas to the organisation.
You should be an experienced manager (7-10 years) who has operated independently in a larger facility, with responsibility for indirect and direct headcounts.
You will be able to demonstrate and explain fundamentals of Health and Safety Management, understanding Risk Assessment and Safe Systems.
You should also have experience from:
• Budget work as a Budget Owner where you are familiar with P&L fundamentals, revenue, profit, EBIT etc.
• Sixth Sigma or Lean Principles leading others in 5S, Standard Operating Procedures, Skills Development ILU, Visual Management, 8 Wastes and/or Problem Solving (5 Why's)
• Inventory Management with an understanding of the basics of Inventory Controls and the various methods of perpetual inventory and cycle counting
• Change Management where you can demonstrate how you have led cost reduction initiatives
