It was established on 10 August 1972 as an agency under the former Ministry of Trade and Industry by an Act of Parliament. With the inception of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism (currently Ministry of Tourism) on 20 May 1987, TDC now functions under this ministry under the name Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) through the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Act 1992.
Popularly known as Tourism Malaysia, it is entrusted with marketing and promoting Malaysia domestically as well as internationally.
Tourism Malaysia has operations in 32 countries worldwide. The office in Stockholm began operation in November 1993.
Position: Office Assistant combined Driver
Summary of responsibility
To assist in general duties at the office such as answering of telephone, assist with enquiries and providing information on travel to Malaysia, take charge of brochure stock as well as promotional items, arrange all materials in orderly fashion, attend to requests for brochures and promotional items. Apart from the above to drive the office car for official duties and provide quality chauffeur service for officials of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, assist in maintaining office car in good working order always, record of log book and other duties as and when required.
Qualification:
• High School Diploma or similar, possess good driving
skill, valid driver's license and of pleasant disposition
• Able to converse and write in English and Swedish since the position involves customer contact
• knows some accounting.
