The Nordics Regional Sales Leader, Wind will be responsible for efforts and work cooperatively with the Renewable Energy Sales Leaders, Regional Leadership team, Global Leadership team, and the GGO organization to achieve sales goals for GE wind in the Nordics region. The Nordics Region covers UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The location for this role can be Sweden, Norway or Denmark.
Essential Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead and define regional strategies, build customer relationships to maximize wind, support wind new units growth strategies as well as services growth in the region. The successful candidate will maintain existing customer relationships, develop new clients, and demonstrate an ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including product line, projects & services, supply chain, engineering and finance commercial operations, to drive product and technical solutions for our customers.
In addition you will:
Develop regional sales strategies for the GE Wind
Meet regional financial targets (OP/stretch plans) for sales and CM
Set up a consistent orders management plan, including proposals and customer requests
Define key customers and establish relationship plans to grow business
Work with customer value mgr on customer segmentation process
Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to the Strategic Marketing and Product Line teams
Work with program managers to implement strategic programs and key initiatives to support design of new products
Set up weekly reports / metrics as defined by business need and in cooperation with Finance
Utilize SalesForce.Com and insure accuracy of opportunity tracking / forecasting Data
Participate in quality initiatives within ITO to drive process rigor, NPS, and other improvements in the overall ITO process
Partner with Product Line and Commercial Operations to drive revenue and contribution margin growth in services
Lead and develop a regional team of Sales Managers and supporting functions
Develop & own the blueprint as well as a 3-year plan of the region for sustainable growth
Provide full scope of leadership for a team, including performance evaluation, annual assessment, salary planning, and employee development
Create an environment which enables the attraction of new, qualified talent to the organization
Drive organizational and functional effectiveness in order to achieve business goals and develop employees
Ensure all team members are trained and compliant on the processes, tools and methods
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent experience
Significant experience in Power Generation industry, preferably some in wind
Significant experience in Sales, Account Management or Commercial role/s
• understand and worked closely with project development and project finance
Significant experience leading a sales team
Strong communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations
Strong people management, team building, performance management, strategic and operations planning, process management, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Strong interpersonal, team building, and negotiation skills; ability to work with colleagues and customers at all levels of the organizations
Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels of the organization
Fluent in English
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
Desired Characteristics
Advanced degree in business, engineering or finance
Experience in power generation sales, preferably wind and hydro energy
Ability to influence key stakeholders and focus on priorities
Proven ability to operate in a team environment and work in a matrix organization
Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Consistent track record of meeting performance objectives
Self-starter with high energy and ability to energize others
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience using an CRM system
