Ishida Co Ltd was established in Japan in 1893. From its roots in weighing equipment, Ishida went on to build the world's first automatic weighing machine in 1959. Thirteen years later, the revolutionary multihead weigher was launched.

Since then, Ishida has grown significantly and our product range has expanded to provide not only weighing systems, but also quality control, handling, packing solutions and more recently to machine efficiency monitoring software.

In 1985 Ishida Europe was established in Birmingham,
UK as the EMEA headquarters for Ishida Co Ltd providing initially Marketing, Sales and Sales Support activities. In 1996 Ishida Europe moved to a specially developed facility in Woodgate, Birmingham and commenced manufacturing operations enabling the majority of products sold across EMEA to also be manufactured locally.

Today Ishida Europe Ltd, Birmingham is still the centre of all EMEA operations but since its creation a further 9 sales / support offices have been opened across EMEA to enable local support to be provided to our growing customer base.

Job Function:
Responsible for sales directly within the Nordic Region - Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland.
Responsible for the delivery of service and projects supported by the relevant discipline GMs based in the UK

• Working in a international atmosphere but with a lot of freedom to decide and execute plans for Scandinavia and Finland.

Key Responsibilities:
• Take ownership for sales in the Nordic region
• Develop and execute a regional plan to include strategic and commercial expectations for the sales and marketing function within that territory
• Develop Ishida sales for core products within the identified territory with specific emphasis on market share against the competition and complete territory coverage
• Build relationships with current customers, conquest customers and currently unknown potential with a view to gaining business
• Have business development at the forefront of the approach
• Work with all interested parties within Ishida to develop and implement the appropriate business strategy for the territory
• Ensure delivery of service and project engineering support from and EMEA based resource pool managed from the Head Office in the UK

• Sales Growth Performance
• Market Share Performance
• Profitability Performance
• Customer Satisfaction

Operational Interaction:
• On a daily basis the General Manager responsible for the region
• Each of the product related Engineering Managers in Birmingham
• Each of the Marketing Product Managers in Birmingham
• The Solutions team

Person Specification:
• An experienced Manager currently in a business to business environment
• At least five years business development and sales experience, in the food or pharma capital equipment supply industry
• Specific technical knowledge weighing and inspection equipment within the food / pharma industry
• Experience in value selling - (Key Requirement)
• Track record of measurable achievements in a similar role
• Well educated with high intellect and an ability to communicate at all levels
• An ability to influence and engage internal resources for the benefit of the customer whilst maintaining the interests of Ishida

• An ability to act independently and interact with the wider business
• A desire to build mutually beneficial deals
• A highly developed work ethic
• A sense of urgency
• An expectancy to work hard and exceed targets which will result in appropriate reward

Location:
UK or the Nordic region local to an International airport

Ersättning
Basic salary: Competitive
Bonus: Current Scheme
Pension: Ishida contribution 5% of basic salary plus 1% for every year served up to 10%. Based on employee contribution 5%
Company Car: A company car may be made available depending on location
