We are now looking for an experienced pharma professional to take on launch preparation and early market access accountabilities in Sweden for the oncology products.
As Nordic Market Access Director Oncology, you will contribute to AstraZeneca's strong culture of good payer and stakeholder relations, preparing for the best possible access for brands on market and launch brands, within oncology. The position is part of the Nordic Healthcare Affairs team and you will collaborate on a daily basis with Business Unit Oncology, Medical as well as global teams.
Main duties and responsibilities
The role of the Nordic Market Access Director Oncology is to secure and contribute to early internal intelligence and engagement in launch brands and indications as well as market access knowledge and intelligence generation across the Nordic countries. The purpose is to prepare the best possible launches together with global and Nordic cross-functional teams to secure patients' access to our medicines as swiftly as possible.
You will work closely with global teams to understand and contribute to strategies for key brands. You will be responsible for gathering insights that will make the bases for access strategies and for driving Nordic reimbursement/funding preparations, working closely with the respective Market Access Director in the Nordic countries. Since treatment regimens in specialty care as well as payer landscapes are under constant change, you need to have an exploratory and innovative mind with great understanding of customers and interest in innovating our business. The ambition is to contribute to shaping a healthcare landscape where we secure access to new medicine for the right patients. You must therefore have an interest in evidence generation and value of treatment and be ready to find new solutions together with various stakeholders. You will also coordinate national competitive intelligence ranging from pricing and payer strategies to healthcare trends.
Essential requirements
* Academic degree
* Significant experience from market access or sales/marketing work within pharmaceutical or similar industry
* Pricing & market access/reimbursement experience in either oncology or other specialty care (high price/low volume) area and experience from more than one country
* Excellent knowledge in spoken and written English and local language
* Strong negotiation and education skills
* Documented networking and collaboration skills
* Proactive and insistent in achieving results, can resolve and overcome challenges
* Strong understanding of interest in science, including real world data, and the value of pharmaceuticals
* Has a good understanding of the ethical code and compliance requirements of the pharma industry
Desirable requirements
* Documented market access experience for launch product including insight and payer work from idea to success
* Experience from cross-functional teamwork
* Strong and state of art business understanding of the Pharma industry
* Understanding of Health Economics and strong analytic skills
* Understanding of and interest in digital transformation
* Experience from the Nordic markets
