Damco is currently looking for an IT Manager for the Nordic region, to head a small IT team based in Gothenburg. The team handles second level end-user support and other IT infrastructure services.
We offer:
The Nordic IT Manager is responsible for all IT related issues at 10 sites across Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The IT Team consists of one IT Infrastructure Coordinator who reports to the IT Manager.
The overall vision of the department is to support the business by ensuring that all IT systems/infrastructure are available with minimum downtime and adequate performance levels.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure 1st, 2nd and 3rd level desktop management services are provided for all supported hardware.
Identify, assist and manage projects to ensure the IT business needs are met.
Schedule and coordinate hardware component installation/movement/addition and changes with the end users.
Ensure support is provided for local applications, both client and server end.
Ensure contingency planning is in place in case of disaster recovery.
Maintain an inventory/asset register of all IT assets at a country/office level.
Maintain all IT 3rd party support contracts.
Procure requested hardware according to Damco purchasing procedures.
Who are we looking for:
The ideal candidate will bring with him/her the following capabilities:
Technical Skills:
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (XP/Win7/Server2003/2008)
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Group Policy Management etc.
Oracle/SQL DB knowledge is preferred however not essential
PC hardware and peripheral troubleshooting skills (including IP printers)
Basic server and network troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of File and Print services
ITIL awareness
Soft Skills:
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Understanding of complex information and requirements
Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans
Good evaluation skills
Good communications skills - written and verbal in English
Great IT skills combined with a good head for business
Confidence in decision-making
A good team-playing mentality
Good leadership skills
An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
