RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Working at the department of Marine Technology you will be able to pursue a career within Hydrodynamics or Stability Analysis Engineering.
You will participate in the projects and produce reports, drawings and calculations related to the Hydrodynamics and Stability Analysis area in model design of semi-submersibles offshore platforms, Floating Production and Storage Offloading and other floating and fixed offshore structures. Tasks at this department include;
Reviewing of 2D drawings of Tow arrangements, Mooring Installation and Hook-up, Mooring arrangements and mooring equipment.
Assisting in carrying out mooring or global motion analysis.
Assisting in the performance of wind and wave model tests.
Assisting in carrying out Dynamic Positioning capability analysis.
Preparing ballasting plans and documentation.
Assisting in carrying out stability calculations and produce associated documentation as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture or Civil Engineering.
Knowledge in the area of stability calculations and design, practical experience is required.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autoship and Excel software.
Knowledge in the area of Marine Operations, Global Motion or Mooring Analysis
Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Practical experience in the field of Marine Operations, Global motion or Mooring analysis.
Knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification.
Understanding of the principles of approval by Classification Societies.
