Since our beginning in 1993 we have grown steadily and today have 9 schools. Our total number of students amounts to 4500 this year and the employees to approx 500. We teach Secondary School: grades six to nine (ages 12-16) and Upper Secondary School grades ten to twelve. Our profile is bilingualism, high academic standards and calm learning environments.
In August 2009 we will start a new Secondary School with approx. 330 students in Jönköping.
Since the school is in the process of being established, we offer you a unique opportunity to take part in the build-up of a new school. You will, within company policy and the framework of the relevant school laws and guidelines, have the opportunity to formulate your own job in cooperation with your colleagues and principal. We focus on learning, knowledge and respect for each other, with high academic standards as our trademark.
Our schools follow the Swedish National Curriculum with 50% of the teaching in English, 50% in Swedish. Swedish, SO and certain aesthetic subjects are taught in Swedish. Working at IES Jönköping requires a high level of proficiency in both languages. Native Swedish speakers (or applicants with equivalent language levels of a native speaker) are required, who understand the Anglo-Saxon culture of "going the extra mile". We seek positive, creative and hard-working teachers who burn for their subjects.

Positions are now open for teachers in SO, Swedish and Music. All these subjects are taught in Swedish.
