For AstraZenecas transgenic department we are now looking for a Molecular Biologist for a consultant assignment for one year with possibility for extension.

Publiceringsdatum2014-05-13Dina arbetsuppgifterWe are currently seeking a scientific and technical specialist in the mouse transgenic field. The main tasks will be the generation and analysis of transgenic animal and cell models, aligned with broad AstraZeneca R&D needs.
As a Molecular Biologist you will be working with:
• hands-on work in a wide range of cell- and molecular biology methods
• executing strategies for genome modification for animal and cell models
• modify mammalian genomes
• TaqMan
• genotyping
• adept at analysis of transgenic models
• detection and quantitation of gene expression
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Ideally you have experience in a relevant scientific discipline preferably with several years of experience in transgenic model development, drug discovery and/or early development. You have experience in executing strategies for genome modification for animal and cell models, a strong molecular biology background is essential together with an in-depth understanding and experience of cutting edge methodologies employed to modify mammalian genomes. You have excellence and hands-on experience in a wide range of cell and molecular biology methods including TaqMan and genotyping and adept at analysis of transgenic models, particularly in detection and quantitation of gene expression.
You are strong in cross-functional working and communication and experimentally focused, with strong troubleshooting skills, adept at putting ideas into practice and providing support to mouse model generation pipeline.
