MDEMC is a film and media production company based in Stockholm, Sweden. MDEMC produces full feature and short documentaries and fiction films and various digital media and communications. We are expanding into international markets, including projects and clients with a focus on international human rights, labour rights and social issues.
The Media and Communications Producer role is broad and includes co-ordinating and developing media projects, including podcasts, films, online communications, social media and written word publications and producing, and reviewing documentation. We are seeking a candidate with a range of skills, education and experience across the areas of media and film production, law and social sciences or similar.
The role is based at our office in Stockholm.
Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role include to:
Produce and co-ordinate podcasts, social media, short film and written word projects and publications, including with a focus on social, human rights and labour rights issues.
Revise and produce engaging written material, analytical research reports and documentation.
Oversee several media projects concurrently
Advise and assist clients on media production, media outreach and public engagement.
Skills and abilities
Preferred skills and abilities include:
Minimum 5 years' experience in media production, especially including film and audio visual production.
Substantial knowledge of human rights, labour rights, policy and current workplace issues.
Demonstrated ability to work constructively with a wide variety of clients and interest groups
Experience in research and the writing of engaging creative content as well as analytical reports and publications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required and working knowledge of Swedish.
Experience in managing projects and tight budgets.
Education and experience
Education and experience preferred:
Bachelor's degree in social sciences in human rights, labour market issues, law or political science or similar. Master's degree in these areas considered favourably.
Position details
Location: Stockholm
Employment: permanent, 80% part time.
Conditions according to collective agreement. Salary commensurate with experience.
Start date: A start date of 20 July 2022 for the successful candidate.
Reporting
The Media and Communications Producer reports to the CEO of MDEMC.
