About the role
As a mechanical design engineer at X Shore, you will play an important role in the mechanical design team. You will be part of the fast-moving team when developing new naval technical products. You will follow the products all the way from concept drawings to finished products. As a development engineer, you will be responsible for the whole life cycle of the products and ensure good quality. The mechanical team works closely to the design team who provides a vision that you work to realize. You will also work close with system engineering to create the best products on the market. The role is based at our head office in Stockholm.

Your responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Concept development
• Detailed part design
• 2D-drawing creation
• Updating existing 3D-parts and drawings
• Developing and testing prototypes in both the laboratory as well as on the field
• Product maintenance
• Maintain 3D-models and CAD-system

Your profile:

• At least 4-5 years experience in mechanical design engineering or similar
• Great skills in SolidWorks, solid modeling, and surface modeling. Skills in similar programs will be considered
• Knowledge in PDM-systems
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent area
• You communicate fluently in English
• Good knowledge of FEM and/or CFD simulations

• Have good surface modeling skills
• Have experience from composite design
• PLM-system experience
• Are familiar with the Scrum method
• Have boating/marine experience

You are efficient and dare to make decisions, but are also keen to involve your colleagues in order to find the best possible solution to our challenges.
