We develop technology that pushes boundaries and breaks conventions to keep people and society safe. If you aspire to help create and innovate whilst developing yourself in a challenging environment then this is the place to do your master thesis.
Your role
Synthetic aperture radar, SAR, is an imaging technique with cm level requirements on the recordings of the movement of the radar during a time span of minutes. This level of real time precision is normally not possible through traditional processing techniques without using stationary GPS reference antennas. These stationary reference antennas are vulnerable and not globally available. The final goal is therefore to remove this dependence by the invention of a new processing technique optimized for short term relative displacement.
In this thesis you will investigate biases in global navigation satellite system Doppler measurements to determine the maximum performance of this new processing method. Your work will be both theoretical and practical by post processing of RINEX files recorded with an airborne synthetic aperture radar.
Your profile
We are looking for an engineering student that is in the last year of a technical education aimed at engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science and ready start your 30 points master thesis.
Appropriate candidates:
• Single or in pair
• Signal processing background
• Prior knowledge of GPS or Kalman filters is meriting
