http://group.electrolux.comDina arbetsuppgifterObjectives Creatively lead Colours, Materials & Finishing design of current and future ranges of Electrolux Major Appliance Europe, overseeing it from initial concept phase through to production in strong collaboration with relevant Product Line Design Managers. Key operational responsibilities Research and Analysis Skills . Ability to lead the analysis of consumer insights, trend foresight and competitive benchmark to drive the contextual opportunity for the Branded product offer.
• Coordinate and direct CMF design research by optimizing the methodologies, tools leveraging internal and external network of experts. Work in partnership with Visual Trend Analyst, VTA.
• Direct and Inspire surprising and relevant CMF scenarios / concepts that explore potential or articulate a proposition, based on contextual analysis. Roadmap and CMF direction setting . Drive the CMF Innovation Roadmap and pre development programs for a specific category.
• Direct CMF technology direction based on aligned global process and methods, linking with internal / external information and experts. Look to use sustainability as a key driver.
• Direct color palette direction. Work in partnership with VTA and define aligned global process and methods, calendar and content. Visual Design Skills . Identify and develop appropriate tools (mood boards, sketching, 3D modeling, rendering) to define and communicate CMF concepts.
• Drive effective and appropriate CMF hierarchies by understanding the meaning and effect of these on the brand, audience, market and culture. Functional Design Skills . Proactively provide solution-oriented input to design processes and product applications, based on the roadmap and knowledge of technical constraints, material properties, manufacturing technologies, suppliers, etc.
• Able to challenge the constraints and define new directions - and to engage in early supplier involvement. Communicating & influencing skills . Communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at an individual and group level.
• Build relationships and appropriately influence relevant internal & external stakeholders. Reporting Functionally and Operationally to Design VP Major Appliance Europe
Skills and Qualifications
Degree or higher-level qualification in appropriate field such as Industrial Design or Fine Arts.
• More than 10 years of Professional CMF experience with large global portfolio scope.
• A proven track record of thought leadership within function - Ability to inspire others.
• Willingness to travel and represent the Design Team in Multi-Functional meetings . Fluency in English. Other European languages are a benefit.
