The department, Manufacturing Engineering Paint, is responsible for implementing quality assured, flexible and effective production systems in our Paint Shops word wide.
In Commodity Paint Team (ME Paint Commodity) the main task is to ensure a process driven product development in cross functional teams. The team consists of 20 engineers with different backgrounds and are located in Gothenburg and Gent.
Main responsibilities
As Manufacturing Engineer Paint you will be responsible for a process area named Pre-Treatment & Elctrocoat as well as Waste water treatment. Within these areas you will drive manufacturing attributes to secure a good Body design that supports a good launch in our paint shops. You will also prepare the product for the process as well as:
* Support production and the local engineering officers in issues linked to the process area of responsibility
* Lead cross technical product- and process manufacturing work
* Create process- and inspection instructions for our paint shop when launching new models
* Participate in launching new models in the paint shop
Possibilities of development
Would you like to develop in this area? Within Commodity it is possible to develop in more advanced engineering and project leader in ME Paint-teams as well as other areas.
Required qualifications
* At least 1-2 years of experience in the Pre-treatment, Electrocoat and Phosphating process
* High chemical knowledge
* BSc degree or higher in chemical engineering, or equivalent experience
* Master the English language both spoken and written
* Ability to travel (High mobility)
Meritorious
* Experience from the automotive industry
* Knowledge and/or experience of surface treatment processes
* Drivers license
Personal qualities
* Genuine interest and engagement in questions regarding surface treatment and above mentioned
* Ability to independently plan, drive and follow up your work
* Since you're collaborating with suppliers and other teams, you have good people skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A good teamplayer and able to show courage regarding new tasks and getting to know you and other teams
