Short description of the department:
The section 57360 Technical Support belongs to Technical Service within Customer Service. 57360 are active within the Current Model Quality (CMQ) process. The section consists of four Technical Support Groups responsible for Product Follow Up and Market Support of Volvo vehicles worldwide.
57361 is a newly established group responsible for Product Follow Up and Market Support in Powertrain and Vehicle Engineering area. This group has two main tasks:
To identify, define, prioritize and together with CMQ solve quality concerns on our cars and to communicate technical solutions to the markets in Technical Journals.
To support workshops and National Sales Companies to fault trace and repair customer vehicles.
We are now searching for the right person to take on the important role as manager for this group.
Job Description:
Your tasks as a Manager Technical Support Powertrain and Vehicle Engineering are:
Manage the group to meet high expectations and targets within budget frame.
Develop vision, mission, targets and KPI:s together with 57360 management team.
Lead the daily operation in the group.
Develop competencies and efficient work procedures & processes.
Represent the group in different CMQ and line management meetings.
Operational work as Product Follow Up or Support Engineer.
Initiate/maintain flawless communication with product technical staff in the market/sales companies and within CMQ.
To develop your employees to meet future needs.
Profile Qualifications:
Technical Engineering Degree.
Good general technical vehicle competence and deep knowledge within the Powertrain and/or Vehicle Engineering area.
Good leadership qualities with ability to motivate the team to deliver on time, with the right quality and at the right cost.
Managerial or other Leadership experience from previous assignments is a merit.
High practical and theoretical knowledge in VCC working processes/procedures.
Have the interest to lead and develop new efficient way of working (processes, methods and tools). Knowledge in LEAN methodology is a merit.
Fluent in the English language.
