Mission/Purpose
Manage the VGU Instructional/Learning Design function. This involves providing best practice expertise and advisory on learning methods and solutions. Also included is the responsibility to secure the quality of learning, according to the Volvo Group University standards. The Instructional/Learning Design function includes Instructional Designers, e-learning development and our Webcast studio.
Key responsibilities*Lead, develop and follow up the Instructional/Learning Design function with focus on employee engagement in accordance with agreed targets
• Plan, develop and execute the daily operation of the team following the Training Development Process and the evaluation standards
• Ensure that the Instructional/Learning Design function is properly resourced in all respects and has the capacity, commitment and competence to achieve the planned objectives
• Implement the established Volvo Group learning principles including quality criteria, the "70-20-10 principle" and Kirkpatrick methodology
• Support VGU identity and branding within the area
• Incorporate local adaptation needs in close collaboration with the VGU Delivery function
• Contribute to the continuous development of learning methodologies to ensure consistent and innovative learning offerings and methods.
• Contribute to forming and improving the ways of working in the training development process including methods guidelines, supporting tools and templates

Experience and knowledge*University degree in Pedagogics, Business Administration, Human Resources or the equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of management experience and proven ability to lead a global team of employees and consultants
• Solid experience and track record from the learning expertise area i.e innovating cutting edge learning methods, tools, guidelines and processes
• Ability to articulate a common agenda and organize the work for the function
• Organizational and project management skills
• Excellent change management, communication, interpersonal and networking skills
• As English is the corporate language, proficiency in English language is required
