hela Sverige Within R&D Strategy and Vehicle Concepts works app 100 people. The department R&D Liaison Office & External Partnership consist currently of 5 people but will grow to approximatly 8 people during the spring 2012.
The teams focus is to manage External Partnership, business evaluation and define concepts and agreements for engineering services that are related to the R&D partnership, with the approach to secure capacity of resources, knowledge synergies and competence development to support the global development within R&D. The team will also support ongoing cooperations regarding contractual matters.
This position will be one of the Conceptual leader/"Key account manager" for one or more cooperations and will work together with collegues of similar cooperations within the team. The role will also be cross functional. You will therfore manage the internal cooperation with other functional areas within R&D but also with the purchasing and manufacturing organisation. You will report to Director R&D Liaison Office & External Partnership.
We are looking for a motivated new member of staff for this dynamic and influential role within the company and the R&D department. We stress the importance of previous experience from similar roles or responsibilities within previous positions. Perhaps from the automotive sector or equivalent since industry knowledge is a vital part of negotiations and product awareness. Operational and strategic aspects of this role;
In cooperation with the Director Liaison Office & External Partnership you will lead the cross functional daily operation and be responsible for managing various activities in accordance to agreed assignments and agreements. The strategic aspects involve leading planning, establishment and follow up of external partnership/cooperation within R&D. The title holder will also be responsible for defining and manage the strategy to support the resource utilization within R&D regarding VCC employees, strategic partners for component & system development, agencies, Turn Key supplier, other car manufacturer and within the academy. Develop alternative scenarios, study proposed possible alternative external partnership/cooperation in cooperation with R&D development units and recommend to R&D management possible external partnership/cooperation within given time spans. In accordance to decided strategy, establish decided external partnership/cooperation in cooperation within the company and define external partnership/cooperation contracts for cross functional assignments.
Competence profile:
• Master or Batchelor degree of Science or similar with business orientation Mster of Business Administraion is valuable, but not a demand.
• Documented Senior engineering or business background and are familiar with industrial systems, if possible within car development.
• Experience from international engineering or business experience is valuable but not a demand.
Qualifications:
• Well experienced with documented previous results in Analysis of complex situations and systems and have several years within product development.
• Talent to handle a holistic view without loosing the details is a qualifier.
