About the role
Ready to develop the system testing of the future? If so, we might be the place you're looking for! Right now, we are on the hunt for an inspirational leader who wants to lead our ESS System Verification Team and be a part of our growing Test & Verification department! The team is responsible for quality assurance of our future energy storage system by performing functional, electrical, thermal, and mechanical tests on the complete battery packs with integrated SW and HW. As a manager, you will take ownership of all your teams' deliveries and develop test and verification strategies to ensure that test facilities, equipment, and competence are available to meet needs.
In close collaboration with our internal customers and external suppliers, you will handle projects, investments and budgets to make sure that we deliver on expectations and on time. Furthermore, you will coach and develop the team and work proactively with processes and methods to successfully achieve our mission.
Additional responsibilities:
Develop new test methods and equipment.
Drive change through people and innovative technical solutions to enable efficient product development.
Lead and develop the team according to the Volvo Group Values and ensure that the function is properly resourced in all aspects within given frames.
Work in close collaboration with electromobility product owners and other test and verification functions within GTT.

Requirements:
M.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar.
More than 5 years of experience within product development.
More than 3 years of documented managerial experience in an international environment.
At least 3 years of documented experience of test & verification methodology.
Good knowledge of working with Agile principles.
Deep and wide electromobility component and system knowledge.
Meritorious if you have experience in laboratory management and battery development and/or testing.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
