www.twitter.com/metsogroupReady for a new challenge? We are now looking for a proactive and skilled Engineering Manager for our Mining Systems organization located in Sala, Sweden.
In this role, you will manage the engineering work within the plant design departments in Sala, Sweden, and Gurgaon/Delhi, India, as well as working closely with other engineering departments around the world for common resource planning. You will also liaise with external consulting and engineering companies.
Largely your work will include:
• Ensuring that the engineering work performed in customer projects is according to the engineering requirement in contracts.
• Developing working methods and tools to increase cost efficiency in the department.
• Ensuring that resources are available for projects and proposals.
• Ensuring that the engineering work follows applicable codes and standards.
• Coaching and developing the team.
We expect the successful candidate to have suitable education, like a Master degree in Engineering or equally acquired competence. Preferably you also have experience of plant projects within the mining business from concentrator plants for copper-, iron-, lead/zink-, gold-, diamond- and/or other ores.
You have well developed leadership skills and 2-5 years of experience in management of personnel. We believe you will embrace and follow our Leadership Principles: Show the Way Forward, Build Inspiration and Trust, Develop and Coach, Drive Results.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and effective interpersonal skills are required, as you will have frequent interaction with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
You must be able to effectively discuss, explain and coordinate plant designs with other disciplines cross-functionally. Having good knowledge of the English technical language, with fluency in both reading/writing and speech is essential.
