About the role
In your capacity of Manager for Product Communication Platform at Verisure Innovation, you will have a direct reporting engineering team, consisting of around twelve senior backend developers, testers, product owner and scrum master. You will be accountable for the team's deliverables as well as providing an enjoyable & efficient work environment working with talent-, process- and strategy-development.
Every now and then, you will take lead on technology discussions, helping the organization to take efficient decisions or make conclusions. Furthermore, you will collaborate across the organization to secure end-to-end quality deliverables to our customers and internal stakeholders.
The platform organization develops a core part of our offering, our software platform and business critical backend services for our alarm and smart home systems. The team both develop and integrate new technology stack components, micro services and utilities, making sure that our platform is scalable and always online, as well as manages our IoT connectivity partners and operations.
About the candidate profile
We are looking for a person with a strong interest in leading and motivating people. You can create trustful work relationships across all levels and contribute to collaborative teamwork. Moreover, you have a proven track record in leading engineers in an agile software development environment.
You also have hands-on-experience in software development and/or technical project management and enjoy working in an environment with quickly changing requirements but with a long-term vision. You communicate clearly around strategies, goals as well as the day-to-day status of operation.
Qualifications
* At least 3 years ' experience as line manager of a software development team comprising 8 or more persons.
* Experience with backend technologies such as Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Network technologies
* Experience from working with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile methods
* Fluent in English verbal and written communication
* Proficient in Swedish verbal and written communication is a plus
