We are looking for a new colleague who loves to be the center of it all!

As our new Major Component and Procurement Specialist you will be the organizer and coordinator of our Major Component Exchanges in Northern Europe.

The position is a part of our Operations Support team and it also includes the procurement of the services related to the exchanges such as cranes and teams.

You will project manage the full process starting when we know we have to do an exchange until the exchange is over, and when the reports are filed and the costs are reported. Our Major Component team in Germany will help you with the availability of the component (gearboxes, blades, main bearings etc.) and you will source the crane, tools, local transports and the exchange team. In addition, you will be responsible for gathering all reports and tracking the cost throughout the project.

Your input is expected in the budget process as you will provide the cost guideline of the costs related to the exchanges in different countries.
The Major Component and Procurement Specialist reports to the Operations Support Manager in Uppsala, but you can be located in any of our offices throughout the Northern Europe Region.

Northern Europe consists of the following countries: UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland and Rumania. Most of the countries have their own local organization that will be your counterpart in the exchanges.

Key accountabilities
• Monitor the main component tooling containers and help with logistics as needed
• Conclude framework agreements with suppliers
• Responsible for procuring Special Tooling for major component exchanges and service works
• Single point of contact for central Materials Management regarding main components
• Ensure that documentation regarding main components is completed accurately
• Responsible for planning Main Component demands and updating them as required
• Ensure that all After Sales Main Component demands are available in cooperation with Account Management
• Schedule main component exchanges and inform interfaces on time
• Responsible for Sub Contractor Procurement with a volume of more than 10K
• Responsible for supplier procurement

Career / Job experience
• Primarily relevant work experience ideally in the wind industry
• Ideally previous experience in a planning or a technical role
• Experience of Project Management
• Some experience in tendering processes

Education and Qualification
• Formal qualification in engineering (Bachelor or Masters in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or education regarding mechanical and/or electrical components) or comparable
• Business management qualification preferable
• Computer literate, thorough SAP knowledge and Microsoft Office products
• Fluent in English

• Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills
• Very good negotiation skills and the ability to close deals successfully
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both internal and external
• Entrepreneurial thinking
• Willing to travel, including nights away from home
• Able to work well in a team or autonomously
• Health and Safety aware
