hela Sverige Logistic engineering and preparation are responsible for selecting inbound material flows from supplier to material façade for the assembly operator. Part of the work is to investigate and decide the optimal way to deliver the production material, In this work it?s necessary to work together with external suppliers, manufacturing engineers, other Volvo plants and business units as Volvo Logistics and Volvo 3P.
As a logistic process engineer you will have various tasks within technical support to material handling and CKD operation in Tuve. For example this can be making manning calculations for kitting/sequencing/fork lifts etc. You will be responsible for planning the work, make drawings of and plan the logistic preparation areas and material stores. The work will also include updating various computer systems as Sprint and internal material handling systems with logistic information. A great deal of the work is to understand and implement global guidelines based on VPS rules together with other logistic engineers and manufacturing engineering.
Recently, implementing VPS rules and following global guidelines in the logistic area have a great impact on the work.
Profile and qualifications:
We are looking for a person with a strong personal drive and self motivation
You are persistent in driving continuous improvement and have an analytical and target-oriented approach
You also need to have good leadership skills, be highly organized and able to multi-task
Furthermore you have good communication, report writing and team working skills
Logistic education or experience is mandatory
Good knowledge of Inbound logistics processes
Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Auto Cad, preferable also internal material handling systems and Sprint
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Product knowledge/experience from truck or car industry
Desired start date is as soon as possible. Temporary position, 6 months with possibility of extension.
