hela Sverige Technical Consulting Services (TCS) in Gothenburg is a function and site group within Volvo IT Infrastructure and Operations (I&O).
The main purpose of TCS is to create business value for our customers by providing highly skilled project managers, project assistants, assignment leaders, process specialists, infrastructure architects, general technical specialists, infrastructure technicians working in projects and assignments. .
We are currently about 100 employees and 300 external contractors, organised in 5 groups.
Job description:
Group Manager, I&O Project Management (4432)
I&O Project Management group 4431, currently comprising about 35 employees, consist of highly skilled project managers. We deliver world-class infrastructure project management assignments for our customers within the Volvo Group, Volvo Cars/Ford and Volvo IT?s external customers. We have now reached the limit for having just one group and we therefore need to split the group into two groups by creating a new group 4432. However our ambition is to keep the groups as ?one virtual group? and the groups 4431 and 4432 will therefore act as and be perceived as one project management group to our customers.
To utilize the management capacity in most efficient way the group managers will have their own area of responsibilities in the Project Management community. The management position for 4432 will imply a more operational responsibility, such as responsibility for finance, budget and follow up, request management etc. for both groups.
We are now searching for you who want to be a manager for the I&O Project Management 4432 group and closely co-operate with the manager of I&O Project Management group 4431.
As a group manager you will be responsible for:
Business development and management
Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing professional services through highly skilled project managers within the infrastructure area
Reviewing customer satisfaction in consultant assignments and proactively meeting customer demands
Ensuring that employees within TCS fully understand our customers and their business needs
Making sure that employees within your group show high focus on customer satisfaction, cost-efficiency, quality, security and delivery precision
Effectively working with capacity planning and resource management
Managing, developing and coaching the members of your group
Managing, follow up and report financial and administrative situation for the group
Communicating and cooperating globally with other groups and sites within I&O, with application development organisations within Volvo IT and with Volvo IT customers and consulting vendors
Actively participating of the Technical Consulting Services Management Team in Gothenburg
Qualifications and skills:
Business orientation and ability to establish good relations with customers
Documented leadership competence and skill, and managerial experience
Genuine interest in people and ability to encourage, coach and inspire team members
Good communication and cooperation skills
Ability to take initiative and maintaining a positive attitude
Fluent in English and Swedish, both orally and in writing

Previous consulting and/or project management experience (recommended but not required)
You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Consulting Services in Gothenburg
