Liability Claims Handler in Stockholm

Zurich Nordic offers local and global insurance programs both standardized as well as individually tailored. Our customers are mainly international and large industrial companies. We are now looking for an outgoing and positive person to join our Claims department as a Liability Claims Handler. This is a temporary position due to parental leave.

As a Liability Claims Handler, you handle medium and complex claims in the most effective, efficient way whilst delivering a customer centric claims service in a manner that supports Zurich code of conduct. You will handle first and third party claims taking responsibility to resolve all enquiries from both customer and external contacts to ensure delivery of a focused claims service. You will also develop a claims case strategy to ensure that appropriate reserves are assigned, investigations conducted and appropriate suppliers engaged.

Other job task:
• Acquires and efficiently organizes the relevant evidence and information to accurately assess the value of the claim and to recognize potential fraud/recovery indicators.
• Reviews, resolves and proactively finalizes claims within authority limits ensuring settlement at an optimum level.
• Adheres to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the claim to ensure that we make decisions using the right standards.
• Refers to customer specific claims handling protocol and/or customer proposition service charter to ensure that we understand & fulfills the needs and expectations of our customers.

Qualification & competencies:
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Preferable an academic degree within law or legal background.
• Preferable a few years of specific claims experience.
• Technical claims handling knowledge within the designated line of business/claim type is an advantage.
• Fluent in Swedish as well as solid English skills are required.

As a person, you have good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish. You have good negotiations skills and you like working independently but with good abilities to co-operate with both customers and colleagues.
