hela Sverige The Black Belt (BB) role leads continuous improvement in Pulp and Performance Chemicals processes by managing complex improvement projects in various areas of the BU using Lean Six Sigma (L6S) methodology.
As a subject matter expert the BB role personifies the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) capabilities and way of solving problems, making decisions and setting standards and coaches and supports the local organization as such.
The BB may be responsible for running projects on more than one location therefore extensive travel may be required. It is a fulltime position.
• Define, prepare, lead and document complex improvement projects with focus on variation reduction, reliability increase, waste removal, process improvements and standardization etc.
• Align with business needs according to local, BU and BA-level prioritization and strategy
• As subject matter expert provide valuable input to CIM and local organization with regards to analyzing data and deriving/validating conclusions thereof
• Provide coaching and support to local organization (Brown Belts)
• Provide training to local organization (Brown-, Green- and Yellow Belt and Champions training)
• Identify, validate and initiate new improvement opportunities
• Support the CIM in project scoping, project assignment, tracking of benefits and controlling sustainability of outcomes
• Support the local ALPS (Akzo Leading Performance System) implementation, build-up of required capabilities and deployment and active use of the ALPS work processes
• Network within the AkzoNobel CI community and share insights, challenges and opportunities to promote improved performance and problem-solving across the company
• Be a role model in safety behavior, especially when visiting sites
• 3+ years of relevant work experience (operations, production, maintenance, logistics, (process) engineering, continuous improvement, etc.)
• Master's degree (degree related to technical, business, economics or finance fields most applicable). If Bachelors degree then longer work experience is required.
• Knowledge of different stakeholders within a manufacturing site and how they interlink
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Proven experience in applying and implementing continuous improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM
• Proven project and stakeholder management experience
• Experience in change management and change programs a plus
• Prior team leader experience a plus; knows to use the skills and knowledge of the team to design and implement solutions
• Experience in coaching and engaging others; able to impart knowledge to others
• Able to multi-task in high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication, presentation and conflict resolution skills on all organizational levels
