About the team

Sensor technology for autonomous vehicles advanced rapidly over the last years, enabling us to solve the challenges of autonomy in a safe and sustainable way. In our team, Autonomous sensor technologies group, our main responsibility is to deliver a complete environmental and ego-sensing platform to enable autonomy in the defined operational design domain. To meet the needs we are working with sensors such as radar, lidar and cameras.

We organize and plan according to an agile framework to handle challenges in quick iterations. We collaborate closely with neighboring teams across the autonomous stack.

Our goal is to be a diversified team in gender, age, ethnicity, experience level, etc. The team currently consists of sensor technology experts, software developers, testers and data scientists.

Your tasks

To accelerate even more we are now looking for a senior software developer to join us in our journey. In this role, your main responsibility will be leading the software development of the camera sensor pipeline. You will work closely with team members in other areas of expertise, such as sensor technology experts, to find the best solutions for our autonomous truck system.

Typical tasks include:

• Analyse internal customer needs and systemize solutions
• Develop and maintain the architectural description for the pipeline
• Implement solutions in C++ according to guidelines and best practices
• Guide and support junior developers in adopting best practices for software development
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve specific challenges
• Testing of software in rigs and vehicles
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to your domain

Your profile

Most importantly, you are a team player that is open to support, learning and exploring new areas and techniques. On top of that you are analytical and result-oriented with a can-do mentality and right-from-me spirit. You have strong problem-solving skills and have a passion for innovation and a desire to push boundaries in the field of autonomous vehicles.

Required:

• Profound interest in coding with 5+ years of experience in programming C++
• Experience with software architecture development
• Experience in software engineering principles and agile development methodologies
• Familiar with common development tools such as GIT, CI/CD, JIRA

Highly desired:

• Prior experience in developing autonomous vehicle software or related systems
• Knowledge in camera technology and related data processing
• GPU (CUDA) programming
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders in other domains
