The section Brakes Controls Wheel and Tires is a part of vehicle control and chassie. It consists of three development groups: Brake mechanics, Brake controls Wheel and Tires. The group Brake mechanics is responsible for the development of mechanical brake components such as Calipers, Discs, HECU, Booster, vacuum system, pipes etc. We are also responsible for pedals brake, clutch and accelerator pedals. The section is now looking for a Lead Engineer that has both technical depth and project expertise. The Lead Engineer will have a central role within the group in future products and projects.
As a Lead Engineer you are expected to be involved in Brake Mechanics deliverables during all phases from concept to aftermarket. The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the total project content. You will have cross functional responsibility together with purchase and manufacturing. In this position you will have with a lot of cooperation with our suppliers.
Main responsibilities
• Cross functional responsible for delivery to the program
• Project milestones
• Meetings with suppliers on a frequent basis
• Report project targets, commitments, status and forecasts. cost and budget related systems
• Monitor and update time plans.
• Be a part of technical reviews.
• Weekly project meetings with Senior/Design Engineers
• Cooperation with our development team in Shanghai
Required qualifications
• B.Sc. degree in engineering or similar
• Experience from project work
• Experience of development work in the automobile industry, experience from Volvo Car Group is meritorious
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
