The group Brake Mechanics is responsible for the development of mechanical brake components Calipers, Discs, HECU, Booster, vacuum system and pipes. We are also responsible for brake pedals, clutch and accelerator pedals. The group is a part of the section Brakes, Controls Wheel and Tires which belongs to the Active Chassie and Safety unit. It consists of three development groups: Brake Mechanics, Brake Controls and Wheel and Tires.
As Lead Engineer you are expected to be involved in Brake Mechanics deliveries during all phases from concept to aftermarket. The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing the total project content. You will have cross functional responsibility together with purchase and manufacturing. The work is done with a lot of cooperation with our suppliers.
Main responsibilities
• Development of brake components starting with Boosters
• Cross functional responsible for deliveries
• Follow up on project milestones
• Report project targets, commitments, status and forecasts
• Monitor and update time plans
• Be a part of technical reviews
• Weekly project meetings with Senior/Design Engineers
Required qualifications
• Technical university degree
• Experience in project management, preferably within the automotive industry
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Drivers license (B-level)

• Business and performance driven
• Ability to lead cross functional teams
• Good communication and social skills
