The Global Hygiene Category (GHC) leads Essity's hygiene brand portfolio and delivers brand development and innovation for our three business areas; Incontinence Care, Consumer Goods and Professional Hygiene.
As our colleague is heading towards new challenges within Essity, we are searching for a new Laboratory Manager Incontinence to our Laboratory Services team within GHC R&D Personal Care Core.
The Laboratory Manager Incontinence is responsible for securing the right competence and resources to support GHC Personal Care in product verification of incontinence products including prioritized test method development.

You will manage one out of two Inco laboratory teams and have 15 people reporting directly to you. The role is located in Gothenburg.
Main Tasks
Secure the right competence and resources for product verification and method development to support GHC Personal Care
Lead, develop and optimize the employees
Plan and lead the work within the team within set frames and budget and in accordance with the 8Q launch plan requirements
Work in close collaboration with the other Laboratory Manager for Incontinence and relevant product and business teams within area of responsibility
Proactively monitor and maintain agreed performance and delivery standards based on Essity internal requirements
Create conditions and implement tools and processes to execute tasks in an effective and efficient way
Keep abreast of developments, procedures and practices within own areas to ensure that appropriate methods and tools are adopted and implemented
Maintain compliance with all appropriate regulatory and safety requirements within the team's operations. Is responsible for securing working environment/health and safety for own area through a systematic way of working with risk evaluation/prevention, trainings etc.
Key Competencies
Required Education & Experience
University Degree or equivalent within technical field
Proven strong leadership skills with previous experience from a leader position
At least 5 years' experience within R&D and innovation environment
Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written
International work orientation or experience is an advantage
Key competencies & Leadership capabilities
Leadership: Ability to lead a team of specialists, ability to engage key stakeholder audience
Good understanding of product development/material development and business demands on product verification and method development
Has courage - has a can-do attitude
Collaborates and communicates effectively
Business expertise: management of resource planning including budgeting
Problem solving: Ability to align business priorities and deliver with limited resources
Customer and consumer driven: Service minded, is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of business needs
Can effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably
Understanding of requirements for Medical Devices is an advantage
