MSF Sweden is looking for an IT Responsible

Our IT Responsible is leaving us after many years of service and we are now looking for his replacement. In a world with increasing requirements on digitalisation and IT security the main responsibility of our new IT responsible will be to safeguard the MSF Sweden capacity to meet the future. The job includes development and administration of the IT strategy, processes, competence (training of staff), provider relations and the IT architecture in MSF Sweden, in close dialogue with counterparts in the MSF movement.

THE POSITION

As the IT Responsible of MSF Sweden, you will lead all technical operations, including infrastructure, systems and servers, applications, networks, database(s), licenses, telecom and all other aspects of our technical operations. Your mission will be to ensure that IT adds maximum value to MSF Sweden core activities and objectives. You will report to the Head of Finance & Facility Management, and you will lead and coordinate the work of the IT Officer.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring high-level IT Management and IT security in MSF Sweden including

• High quality and user-friendly IT infrastructure and standard
• IT strategy and annual planning (objectives, activities and indicators)
• Up to date policies, processes and routines related to IT
• IT provider relations (tenders, contracts, checking of invoices etc)
• Strategic advice to the organisation in the implementation of new systems
• General overview of all IT systems in MSF Sweden (system map)
• Reporting to the Management team on IT related risks and possibilities
• Monitoring general IT development in Sweden (spearheads in IT)

• Providing second line support to all users of the MSF Sweden network



OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

• Commitment to MSF principles and humanitarian values
• BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred
• Proven experience as IT Manager or similar role (minimum 5 years)
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office package
• Proven knowledge of configuring and maintaining the Active Directory and Group Policies
• Ability to resolve hardware technical problems (PCs, printers etc)
• Experience and knowledge on how to perform proper IT documentation
• Good TCP/IP network knowledge for the proper maintenance and configurations of a CAT5/CAT6 and fibre LAN/WAN network
• Ability to report technical requirements (identify solutions) reflecting over IT system and user needs (digital development etc)
• Knowledge equal to MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) and skills administrating a medium sized Microsoft network.
• Knowledge of VPN connections
• Knowledge and experience of SharePoint
• Knowledge and experience from Digitalisation processes

• Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
• Strategic vision and proven skill for initiative and innovation
• Outstanding skills in planning and organising (project management)
• Excellent service orientation and behavioural flexibility
• Outstanding communication skills; fluency in written and spoken Swedish and English



VALUABLE

• Previous MSF experience and/or other international NGO experience
• French language skills
• Experience from streaming (mixing sound, handling cameras and images)
• Experience from web programming



CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Type of employment: Permanent position with 6 months' probation
• Employment rate: 100 %
• Work hours: 37,5 h / week, mostly during office hours (occasionally provide support at MSF events, limited evening/weekend support)
• Salary: 34 612 SEK/month
• Location: MSF Sweden office in Stockholm
• Benefits: Pension, health insurance, life insurance, travel insurance, insurance for work related injuries, wellness contribution (up to 2 000 SEK/year).
• Entry date: As soon as possible
