Job Description:
The role of the analyst is to provide day-to-day support to the trading group.
This will encompass, but not be limited to:
• The IT infrastructure (desktop to LAN core). Procurement, configuration and installation of IT hardware
• Software platforms (trading, market data and typical desktop applications). Installation, upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting
• The group's trading activity. Emergency order management, fill reconciliation and position confirmation
The individual must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be highly numerate and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes. A confident, outgoing persona, together with an interest in the financial markets are essential. Given the round-the-clock aspect of the financial markets, a flexible approach to working hours is a necessity.
Required Skill Set:
Hardware:
• Experienced with PC hardware types, conventions, best practices and associated devices (monitors, printers, etc)
• Developed PC hardware skills, experienced with the installation of peripherals and I/O components (RAM, HDD, Graphics Adapters,etc)
• Basic understanding of CISCO routing and switching hardware, naming conventions and roles
Software:
• Excellent understanding of Windows XP / 2000 / Server 2003 installation, configuration and troubleshooting (MCP, MCIT, MCDST useful)
• Basic experience with CISCO IOS - checking interface status, logs, errors etc
• Good understanding of popular Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
Networking:
• Good understanding of the principles of TCP/IP and the OSI 7-layer model (IP addressing, subnet masks, routing)
• Basic understanding of WAN technologies such as leased lines, VPN and ADSL
Salary:
The salary for the available IT support role will be 20,000SEK per month or 240,000SEK per year.
On top of this there will be a discretionary bonus based on the success of the business. The pay shall be reviewed once a year.
Start date:
The successful candidate would be required to start on the 20th August. The probationary period would be 6 months.
