hela Sverige IT Sourcing and Purchasing is responsible for the Volvo Group supplier's relations and commercial agreements in the Information Technology sector. We are divided into two different organizations:
• Vendor Management Office organized within Group IT responsible for the strategic supplier relationship and the segment strategies
• IPS IT Commodity (Indirect Products and Services) organized within Group Truck Purchasing and responsible for IT purchasing operations
The IT purchasing community is staffed with 40 IT purchasing professionals located in Sweden, France, India, North America, China and Japan who purchase IT with a yearly spend over 5 billion SEK. We are organized by international competence centers having global responsibilities in their domains, and enjoy a diverse and teamwork oriented environment.

The IPS IT Commodity is looking for an
IT Buyer within the Infrastructure & Operation Services (IOS)
You will work together with the IOS purchasing team and the IOS Segment Manager. Your main objective is to manage and develop Volvo's supplier structure and relationships to maximize the benefit of Volvo's external IT spend.
You will be responsible for a set of contracts and suppliers within the IOS area including contracts related to HCL as Volvo Group's Infrastructure partner, driving sourcing and supplier selection according to segment strategies and securing the Supplier and Stakeholder relationship.
You will:
• Lead, negotiate and execute sourcing and purchasing activities of more complex and global cases according to the purchasing processes
• Implement contract & drive contract compliance
• Manage Supplier relationships and act as Supplier Host for one or more selected suppliers. Establish the strategy/positioning for the supplier with guidance from the segment
• Develop and manage the stakeholder relationships
• Act as advisor in related purchasing issues
This is a full time position with a location either in Gothenburg or Lyon. In this role you will report to the IPS IT Commodity Director and functionally to the IOS Contract Manager at The Vendor Management Office.

Personal Profile:
You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy working in teams. You are fully global in your thinking and behaviour and have already worked in global organisations.
You have either a suitable university degree within the area or similar education/experience.
A team player, you find it easy to establish good internal and external relations and have a positive attitude towards changes and new challenges
You have high integrity and personal drive
You have strong organization discipline & excellent follow up skills
You are familiar with commercial processes and legal terms in IT
You are fluent in English both spoken and written
Previous Infrastructure Operation business experience and especially within the Network& Telecom area will be regarded with particularly high merit.
