Asset Optimisation and Trading (AOT) is the Business Division where all asset optimisation and trading activities are centralised for the Vattenfall Group. We are located in multiple sites across Europe with more than 600 professionals working from Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Poland. Next to trading, we optimise and hedge Vattenfall's generation assets in order to manage risk efficiently and optimise the portfolio value.
The business unit Operations is responsible for providing Analysis, IT and Project Management support to the Vattenfall Asset Optimisation and Trading Division. The business unit is consisting of highly skilled employees with back¬grounds ranging from Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, IT to Project Manage¬ment. We are present in the locations Hamburg, Stockholm and Amsterdam.
For our office in Stockholm, in the Generation Management and Logistics (GML) IT domain we are looking for anIT Asset Optimization System Developer
The System Developer is responsible for the development of business critical applications. The GML domain is the IT provider to all departments in AOT handling Asset Optimization, which concerns the connection between Generation and Trading. Development in this area demands very good balancing of time to market for changes and quality as in stability. You will work in the heart of the IT team in Stockholm, being a contact to business in operational day to day operations while in addition handling configuration changes and projects. You understand their issues and skills and are able to help them out in a practical way.
Main tasks and responsibilities
• System support and development of our asset optimization applications
• Translation of business requirements into IT solutions
• Assuring quality of delivery, balanced by quick time to market of solutions
• Close cooperation with other developers and business users
• Assessment and integration of new software in our IT landscape
• Specifications of interfaces to other systems
• Attendance in projects within the whole IT area, across locations.
Requirements
• A graduate degree such as Bachelors in Information Technology / Management, Engineering, Business Administration or other related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of overall IT software development and IT operations experience
• A service professional with strong level of customer focus
• Strong, working verbal and written business and technical communication skills
• Deep knowledge and experience with complex soft- and hardware solutions
• Good skills in VBA and or Oracle and PLSQL
• Good knowledge of UNIX and or FTP
• Experience in IT planning and IT ITIL processes are an advantage
• Experience of working in a Trading or Generation environment is an advantage* Good knowledge in Swedish and English is required, verbal and written
