We are now looking for one IT Architect, Infrastructure network and security
In this role you will be reporting to the Manager of Core (Network and Security) Infrastructure Services, in the Service Management department of Infrastructure & Onsite Services.
Role mission & context
In this role, together with the already existing IT Architect in place, you will share the responsibility for the architecture of Volvo Group Core Infrastructures. In close relationship with the partner(s) in charge of the detailed technical architecture, you will identify, design, document, communicate and enforce architectural choices that can support Volvo long term strategy, while on the other hand preventing architectural choices that can be an obstacle to Volvo long term strategy. You will be responsible for driving and creating a consistent Core infrastructure architecture within Volvo.
As part of the IT architects functional team from Service Management, lead by the Head IT Architect, you will also contribute to have a consistent cross functional (Application Infrastructure, End User and Core Infrastructure domains) Infrastructure architecture and support in defining e.g. Hybrid Cloud, IoT, Software Defined target Infrastructure architectures.
Key IT Architect responsibilities
• Identify and manage infrastructure technical standards that are relevant to Volvo in the context of the outsourcing partnership.
• Produce and maintain the long term technical architecture strategy and roadmaps, in collabaration with partner(s) and vendors
• Secure infrastructure architecture compliance
• Drive reasearch activities, and keep updated on market trends
• Infrastructure architecture quality assurance and making sure that Enterprise Architecture certification is performed by the partner(s) to whom the service deliveries are delegated.
• Support internal Volvo Group IT stakeholders with infrastructure architecture guidelines, frameworks, and also specific analysis / recommendations when needed.
• Work with Volvo Group IT Security and Compliance department to define the security architecture concept that can support Volvo on the long term.
• Support overall IT strategy with the relevant infrastructure architecture
• Define and monitor the application of architectural and technological guidelines, in order to make sure applications and services are "designed for operations"
• Co-ordinate activities with other parts of the organization and external partners as required
Required competencies and experience
• Minumum 5 year experience as an IT infrastructure architect
• At ease in a multi-cultural environment
• Innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge in your organization.
• Strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.
• Relevant university degree or equivalent
• Service and result oriented mind-set
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Fluent in English, (BULATS level above 55 points)
