Are you an experienced test engineer seeking new challenges?
This is an opportunity if you want to work within a global organization as an interoperability engineer with our interoperability program in Gothenburg, Sweden. Main tasks are to continuously test and assure well-functioning integration between Ascom IP-DECT and VoWiFi solutions towards 3rd party IP-PBX's and WiFi infrastructures. Further responsibilities are to maintain and develop relationships with Ascom's Technology partners such as Cisco, Motorola, HP, Juniper, Avaya, Siemens, Aruba etc. As an interoperability engineer you work in close co-operation with Ascom Wireless R&D and Marketing department.
Tasks
• Perform interoperability tests with Ascom IP-DECT/WiFI towards 3rd party PBX/WiFi infrastructures.
• Maintain existing- and develop new relationships, within the context of Ascom Wireless Technology partner program, for the purpose of planning, performing and documenting interoperability tests.
• Identify and suggest modifications in the Ascom Wireless SIP/WLAN implementation to reach expected functionality
• Create and maintain test specifications, test reports and application notes after completed tests.
• Travel to and carry out tests at Ascom's National Sales Units, Int'l sales partners and Technology partners.
• Define, in close co-operation with product management, what products, functions and releases that are included in the certification program
• Create solutions, in co-ordination with Ascom R&D, Support org and Product Managers, for implementation of new functionality in Ascom Wireless IP-DECT and VoWiFi solutions.
Skills
• Engineering degree equivalent to MS or BS
• Experience from software testing
• Experience of work in lab environments
• Experience of maintaining and developing external contacts.
• Experience of problem-solving and protocol analysis..
• Experience of IP-networks.
We are looking for an engineer who has experience as software tester and a few years of experience of the general requirements above. Previous knowledge of WLAN, DECT, IP-telephony and IP-networks is advantageous. As a person you are characterized as a team-player, take own initiatives, and have a thorough and quality-minded approach.
