Become one of our 16 International Trainees at Vattenfall. Each of the trainee positions is unique, linked to a department within a specific business area and a working location. This means that each position has its own specific responsibilities, challenges and matching profile.
Next to your personal development in this unique position you will be enjoying one year of all we have to offer. Your trainee year will be filled with meetups with your international trainee team with likeminded individuals. You will be meeting up virtually to work on assignments and live during four seminar weeks where you will be visiting our power plants and growing your superpowers with a variety of trainings.
Your role as a Trainee - Group Control & Investor Relations
We offer you a position in a unique area within Vattenfall Group Control & Investor Relations (GC&IR). GC&IR has an exciting mix of responsibilities covering target setting for the businesses, management reporting, business planning, forecasting, investment controlling and external financial communication. We act as advisors to CFO as well as CEO and other parts of Group Executive Management.
Your daily activities:
• You will contribute to the tasks of Group Control & Investor Relations (GC&IR) in order to enhance the efficiency and steering of Vattenfall 's business activities
• You will be a part in delivering on the tasks of developing the business- and investment planning, reporting and other related processes
• Together with the team you will be a crucial part in the work around setting up and coordinating annual business planning, forecasting and the follow-up processes
• Contribute to management reporting and related deliverables
• Perform excellent business analysis and present your conclusions to different finance related tasks and contribute to maintain and develop the relations to the respective Business Area
• You will also support your Investor Relations colleagues in external reporting during quarterly reports with the purpose of establishing an efficient and coherent story to Vattenfall and its stakeholders

As a Trainee - Group Control & Investor Relations you recognize yourself in the following:
• You are a learner who enjoys taking initiative, finding new ways of working and being proactive. In addition, you enjoy working as a team to build on other people's ideas and share in completing assignments together
• You have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality output in a changing environment
• Social as well as detail-oriented with problem solving skills
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
• Well structured, strong planning and organizational skills
• Knowledge or interest of the energy market and the utilities sector is an advantage
You are our ideal trainee if you are a recent graduate with an academic degree and have maximum one year of work experience, or you graduate before March 2024. You are fluent in English. Skills in other world languages can be a merit. You are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization. And of course, you identify yourself with our principles: active, open, positive and safe.

You will be working in the department Group Control & Investor Relations and the position is located in Stockholm (Sweden).

Selection period starts after the application period is closed with online tests followed by interviews in November. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in the end of November. The recruitment process will be finalized in December.
