Who we are
At Vehicle Software & Electronics, we are responsible for developing a great user experience based on the real customer needs realized in the electrical system. You will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. At Volvo Cars, we have an Agile Organization where we develop our product features and functions continuously in Product Streams with a complete lifecycle responsibility.
The Electrical System Integration department is part of the electrical design unit within R&D. We are responsible for a wide range of interesting areas from the developing and the design process of the electrical system to development of integration test platforms as well as system integration management and configuration management of the complete electrical system. The Group, Electrical Integration Management team, is responsible for the release of a quality assured software for the complete electrical system in our vehicles both during the development phase as well as to end customer vehicles in running production. We own the software release and software integration management process.
What you will do
As an integration leader you will work together with program managers, configuration managers and designers from all the units in R&D to secure synchronized development, delivery and verification from a complete electrical system perspective. Our future vision will deeply affect how we are working with integration and software release. As member of an Integration team, your aim is to empower, synchronize and control function and software implementation on a complete electrical system level throughout the integration points/sequence in the project plans. The integration leader shall also take part in securing the correct hardware for integration events. Responsible for securing the hardware is however the test leader. The synchronization of the Integration Plan shall be based on the information from the Vehicle Program Plan (VPP), the Analysis & Verification Needs (AVB), and Functional Implementation Plan.
Who are you
We believe that you have vehicle knowledge on a complete vehicle level and good general knowledge of base technologies within HW/SW platform as well as testing and test tools. Preferably you are also experienced in electrical architecture, signal configuration, communication, diagnosis and SW download. You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a general interest in cars. You are organized and structured, carrying a positive attitude and is resolute with a high drive for results. You have leadership skills and a proven ability to build solid business relationships and networks. Working at Volvo Cars, you have to be able to operate in a frequently changing environment - both in terms of technology, strategies and business set-up.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. / B.Sc. or several years of relevant experience
* Fluent in Swedish & English, spoken and written.
* Experience of system testing
* Drivers License
