Who are we?
Group Insurance is a group function at Volvo Group Headquarters with a global footprint that offers an opportunity to join an international environment with contacts both internally and within the global insurance market.
Group Insurance consists of 4 people with extensive contacts and close co-operation internally worldwide and also with insurance brokers and insurance companies outside the Volvo Group.
What are our main tasks?
We serve as a competence and support center within the Volvo Group regarding non-life insurance including issuing of guidelines. We also co-ordinate all matters of non-life insurance where we provide global cover. Our department is responsible for procurement and management of global insurance programs for the Volvo Group covering property, business interruption, product liability and other risks. Our task is to make sure that we provide the best available insurance terms to the Volvo Group.
In addition the department is also responsible for operating the in-house insurance company Volvo Group Insurance Försäkrings AB (VGI) that is an important cornerstone in order to manage the financial risks. VGI was founded in 1988 and is today the largest in-house insurance company in Sweden. In order to limit the risks in Volvo Group Insurance the department is responsible for buying reinsurance on the international insurance market.
Main activities and responsibilities
Collection of the group's property values world-wide*Communication with Volvo entities globally and HQ functions as well as main insurers and brokers
• Key user for the Insman insurance system
• Claims administration and support
• Handling of incoming and outgoing invoices
• Financial Business review for VGI
• Forecasts and budgets for VGI
• Provide and present financial information to the VGI board
• Be updated about changes in legislation and prepared for future regulations
• Coordination of the accounting and financial reporting to the service provider
• Coordination of the independent audit, risk and the compliance function
• Coordination of the external auditors
• Coordination of the actuary function

Who are you?
You will be a key player within our department in order to ensure that insurable risks which could pose a serious threat to the Volvo Group's industrial and commercial activities are treated in a uniform and controllable manner.
You will also be part of a global insurance network, including contacts with local Volvo entities world-wide, insurance companies and insurance brokers.
The financial focus will be on the in-house insurance company Volvo Group Insurance.
Qualifications
• University degree in Finance administration and/or Business Administration
• Ability to understand, interpret and communicate financial information in a clear and concise way
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a diverse network
• Advanced user in Microsoft Excel and experienced user in other Microsoft Office software as well as SAP
• Ability to push forward with deliverables to timely completion
• Self-motivator and pro active
