The Milling Tools department in Sandviken plays a central part in securing our position as a global leading supplier of tools within metal cutting. We are responsible for the whole process, from idea to launched product, and we are a vital part in ensuring our customers' future success. The main challenges we face are to find great new solutions for our coming products, speed up our development and build knowledge platforms for the future.
We are now looking for an Insert Designer, as one of our employees will be on parental leave. This is a temporary position for one year and we offer you a creative and international environment where the work is done in a modern and innovative way. Key performance areas
As an Insert Designer within Milling Tools, you work with experienced, skilled and motivated people and, together, you create outstanding solutions for our customers and develop the knowledge to be able to create future products. Primarily, your focus is on the design of the inserts - you design the product and provide documentation in CAD models, drawings etc. to ensure a quality secured product, participate in design reviews, document design rules, use rule based design and cooperate with production to capture limits and needs.

You need to have experience in CAD (NX), while experience in metal cutting, product development, design work and simulation is highly valuable.
