The production plant in Köping is Volvo's Center of Excellence within the area of transmission solutions and today we are approximately 1500 employees. We are currently looking for our next project manager within our Product & Project Office department. The department is part of our Industrial Engineering unit that has a strong focus on the future of our factory and the industrialization of new products. Furthermore, we provide technical support to our Operations organization, making the team crucial for the business. As an Industrial Project Manager:
You will play an important role in our industrial projects within Volvo Group Trucks Operations. Your mission will be to lead projects within our industrial portfolio at our Köping plant; projects acquiring process equipment with targets to either maintain production capacity, increase capacity or lead process equipment projects as result of the industrialization of new products. You will lead a team of professionals within our organization towards project targets. Delivering on the right time, to the right cost and with world-class quality. Taking on this position, you will play an important part in taking our Industrial Engineering team to the next level as we focus on improving our project management methods and ways of working within the Product & Project Office department.

Who are you?
In this role, you will be the front-runner in your industrial projects and it is important that you can find alignment with top-level objectives. As a person, you need clear customer focus and business understanding. An ability of strategic thinking as well as a strong sense of urgency and high responsiveness is essential. Other qualities that we value are a structured way of working and a quality mindset. Your communication skills are proven in managing both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and background:
As part of your professional background you preferably hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
You have process knowledge within engineering machining and assembly with a few years of experience within the field. A background from working with external suppliers within the manufacturing industry is seen as highly beneficial
You have experience from leading teams and a background leading projects as project manager or sub-project manager
You communicate with ease in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
