Whether it's an earthquake in Haiti, flooding in Germany, forest fires in Värmland or an important interview from a refugee camp in Syria, we need reliable connectivity.
Still today, the telecommunication infrastructure is vulnerable to natural disasters, governmental intervention or simply limited due to inadequate coverage.
This is where Satcube solves the problem. We enable doctors, journalists and first responders to gain access to a satellite internet connection in less than a minute. Organizations like the UN, ABC News and Swedish MSB all rely on connectivity to execute critical missions.
Satcube's goal is to provide portable satellite communication devices that are easy to set up and can be used by anyone, anywhere. We need an Industrial PhD Student to join our team in R&D for research projects to make our products and service offerings even easier to use.
What is the job about?
As an Industrial PhD at Satcube, you'll be working with research related to state of the art active antenna development. This includes antenna feed and element design, beamformer chip integration, filter and diplexer design, and beamformer algorithms. The objective is to develop an active antenna that can track moving satellites.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Antenna research
Research on antenna and electronics integration
Filter and diplexer research
Beamformer algorithm research
Terminal and component testing
Answering technical questions internally and externally

Required experience:
M.Sc degree in relevant area (antenna and electronics design)
Fluent in English
Positive mindset

The core of the company is our lightweight satellite terminal, capable of providing high speed internet to any location on earth. This is done by sending radio waves 36000 km into space, aimed at a satellite that is only a couple of meters wide, before retransmitting the signal back down.
